I started writing to heal after losing my sister to cancer last year. I decided to share my thoughts as I realized I might be able to help someone else. The response I have received has been heartwarming.

Six years ago, when I worked in public accounting, I thought about writing a book.

I put together the outline, but I decided not to move forward with the idea.

I believe that the timing and topic were not right. However, last year, the thought crossed my mind again.

I felt in my heart that I needed to put my book in the universe, and do my part to increase financial literacy in my community. That’s when I decided to embark on a journey to write my first book. 

I had no idea where to start. I fought the voices in my head telling me I was not an author, and I started anyways. I did the research, I put in the time, and I invested in myself. When the pandemic began, I didn’t stop; I kept going.

Eight months later, this idea I had in my head is finally coming together.

Do you have an idea that scares you? Don’t let the fear of failure stop you.
